This information was provided during a briefing by the First Deputy Head of the OSCE SMM in Ukraine, Alexander Hug, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Over the past week, the security situation in Ukraine has deteriorated significantly. The OSCE SMM recorded almost 6 ceasefire violations. This is a 500% increase compared to the week before last. In addition, a significant increase in cases of the use of prohibited heavy weapons was recorded: 70 last week, versus 371 the year before. In addition, last week we recorded a significant increase in the number of new trenches along the demarcation line, which indicates the beginning of new military operations. It seems that the parties are seriously preparing for the continuation of violence, not for its cessation,” Hug said.
