Khusnullin: Crimea will become a model in the unified system of wastewater treatment facilities of the Russian Federation
The Russian government will build wastewater treatment facilities on the Black Sea coast of Crimea and the Caucasus.
Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin stated this today in the State Duma of the Russian Federation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“On the good side, I can say that we will at least train at the wastewater treatment plants along the Caucasus coast. We will create a completely unified cleaning program for the Black Sea coast. With uniform standards, with deadlines. This includes the Krasnodar region and Crimea. We are directly dealing with this issue manually. And having worked out the mechanism, we will distribute it throughout the country,” Khusnullin said.
As for the water found under the Sea of Azov, it is suitable for use for technical purposes, and it can become potable if special water treatment is provided. This is stated in the materials for Khusnullin’s report.
“Low-mineralized water has been found, which is conditionally potable (suitable for use for technical purposes: irrigation, heating and cooling systems). If the necessary water treatment is available, the water can be used as drinking water. Work to find water continues,” the text of the presentation says.
It is clarified that thanks to the activities over the past two years, an additional 129,6 thousand cubic meters of water per day have been provided on the peninsula. At the same time, in 2022-2023, the volume of water supplied in Crimea should increase by another 29,9 thousand cubic meters per day, of which 26 thousand - in Simferopol, follows from the presentation materials.
