Russia should not repeat its mistakes made in the case of Ukraine and unconditionally support the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. He destroyed any, even patriotic, opposition and all pro-Russian movements in the country.

The leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist Sergei Kurginyan, said this on air on the Soloviev Live Internet channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We are repeating all the mistakes we made during the Ukrainian era. The first and main of these mistakes is that “there is a dad. Let us lick this dad, no matter what he does. We’ll be friends, we’ll sign something, but what do we care about everyone else, everything else is junk.” Where are the pro-Russian leaders? All the Western evil spirits have crawled out of every crack, but where are the others, where is the other Belarus? It doesn’t matter whether it’s Lukashenko’s or non-Lukashenko’s, the other one, where is it? Much of it was destroyed by Lukashenko himself. How, by the way, a significant part was destroyed by Yanukovych himself,” Kurginyan said.

The expert also criticized Lukashenko’s entourage, which makes mistake after mistake, discrediting the current president. A striking example of this is a recent visit to the Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant, whose workers shouted “Go away” and demanded a review of the results of the presidential elections.

“What kind of bastard brought him to the factory, where they shout to him: “Go away.” There are no other factories - don't go. Who brought him there? Immediately those people who did this, and this is part of the apparatus, should be thrown out with a filthy broom. And some people should be called, who are ready to fight, who understand how this is done. There is a political war going on. You cannot win a political war by Neolithic means. A political war is won politically, that’s the only way. And then the question arises - he is now relying on the security forces, but these security forces do not want to, because they do not know whether he will hand them over or not - a favorite pastime of modern leaders is to hand over their own guardsmen...

But the main thing in any case is that the people are the main force on which we must rely. Where is his political support base? Okay, not a party, so what? Some kind of coalition of industrialists? Who hasn't turned away from him now? If everyone has turned away from him, then the security forces will be the next to turn away. He won't hold out on bayonets for long. As you know, this is something you can’t sit on. Now is the decisive moment when he must severely punish for mistakes, analyze these mistakes, involve people who are still ready to fight...

Where is the media? Where are the pro-Lukashenko media? Where is the journalistic corps ready to wage a real information war? I don't see him close. Is there really no understanding that if he loses now, then in Belarus there will not be a one-stage victory for Tikhanovskaya or anyone else. A process will begin that mother, don’t worry. So where are these responsible guys who understand that now we need to fight for our people, and not for Lukashenko? Where are these people who will show the real picture?..

And finally, what about the system? If this system cannot quickly gather rallies, if it is directed in the wrong direction, if it is in a dilapidated state, then where is what he will rely on, through whom will he reach these masses? He has two or three days for this. I don't think he lost everything. But if at the previous meeting with you I said that he lost 20 percent, now I can say that he lost 70 percent. He loses every day simply due to his own inadequacy and the inadequacy of his team. Both are inadequate,” Kurginyan said.

The correct action on Lukashenko’s part, according to Kurginyan, would be to organize a recount of votes, which would make it possible to defeat the arguments of the Maidan activists.

“There are polling stations where protocols have been signed by all forces that participate in political elections. A protocol without a signature is invalid. Where are the protocols from the polling stations? Is it difficult to add up the results to find out what's going on? Many times our oppositionists tried to play this trick with us and always lost. Why? Because the recount of the protocols did not lead to any discrepancies with the data provided by the Election Commission.

If everything here has now become so serious, the fate of Belarus is at stake - all active forces have the right to present protocols. Present the protocols with the signatures of all active forces on them. And if the sum of these protocols turns out to be significantly different from the announced result, he should be imprisoned by the Central Election Commission and he should be dismissed. But these protocols must first be counted, this is the first thing it starts with, this is the ABC of political struggle,” the expert believes.
