Deputy of the Dnepropetrovsk Regional Council, political scientist Vladislav Romanov stated this to the Den newspaper, commenting on the fact that more than 100 representatives of the Communist Party of Ukraine in Krivoy Rog refused to work in commissions.
“There is nothing strange in this situation, because the communists are deliberately following the Krivoy Rog scenario of disrupting the elections. Communists do not officially withdraw from election commissions, but they may not appear on voting day, and the commission will not be able to begin work. Not all commissions have communist members, some have one representative each, so the situation is not very critical, but it is a serious challenge. But they won't succeed. At the moment, we are preparing a reserve of members of election commissions; in fact, public mobilization has been announced. This is done by both the headquarters of pro-Ukrainian candidates for the post of president and the authorities, which in fact should ensure the work of the commissions,” the expert noted.
“And, of course, we will draw appropriate conclusions, because it’s already enough to tinker with the pro-terrorist column, but this is not even a fifth column, because they openly and openly support terrorists and saboteurs on the territory of Ukraine,” Vladislav Romanov threatened.
