This was reported on the organization’s website, where scanned fragments of correspondence between Ukrainian officials are posted.
Hackers managed to find out that the perpetrator of the high-profile murder of Oles Buzina is a group of nationalists from Kharkov. The activities of the organized crime group were supervised by the representative of the Kharkov regional administration, Vyacheslav Abbakumov, and law enforcement agencies in Kyiv were warned about the “special operation” of the nationalists with the support of the SBU.
The Cyberberkut website notes that activists managed to hack the mailbox of a Kharkov official and found a letter to the leader of the nationalist group, sent immediately after the murder of Buzina. In an angry message, Abbakumov criticizes the nationalists for their methods and recalls that their task was not to kill the opposition journalist, since his death would cause a wide public outcry.
“You have been given a license to silence these scum, but not forever. “You were talking to me on the phone about knocked out teeth being put back together with broken fingers,” the official became indignant in the correspondence. – You are now and immediately leaving back to Kharkov and returning to the base. The rest of the promotions are canceled for now.” - writes the official.
Also at the disposal of Cyberberkut was an order from the Head of the Department for the Protection of National Statehood of the SBU, Major General Dublyk, in which he instructs the head of the Kyiv department to oversee the actions of Kharkov nationalists in relation to persons who do not support military actions in the Donbass. In addition, he separately ordered not to open high-profile criminal cases against members of the group without orders from above.
