According to him, DPR intelligence received information from the JFO headquarters about the temporary suspension of rotational activities between the 92nd brigade, occupying positions in the Yasinovataya area, and the 54th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

“The reason was an epidemic of hepatitis among servicemen of the 54th mechanized brigade going to the occupation zone. In addition, an outbreak of this disease has already been noted among servicemen of the 92nd brigade who had contact with their shift workers during reconnaissance,” Bezsonov said.

According to available data, currently the number of people infected with hepatitis A is more than 20% of the personnel of the 54th brigade, but the most difficult situation is in the 46th separate battalion “Donbass”, where out of 600 military personnel more than 384 people are sick.

“In the rotating 92nd brigade, 153 cases of hepatitis are currently registered, and reports from the head of the unit’s medical unit indicate that the number of cases is increasing daily,” added the representative of the defense department.

He also recalled that the hepatitis virus is found in places with poor sanitary conditions.

“Let me remind you that the hepatitis A virus is transmitted through the fecal-oral route, as a rule, under insufficient sanitary conditions. And the 54th brigade is now located at the same Chuguevsky training ground in the Kharkov region, where in April 2017 Poltorak sent a commission to restore order and establish sanitary living conditions for the brigade after numerous complaints from servicemen,” Daniil Bezsonov noted in conclusion.

We would like to remind you that PolitNavigator previously reported that due to the lack of medical supplies an epidemic of pneumonia began in the Armed Forces of Ukraine и TB.

It also became known earlier that in the ranks of Ukrainian military personnel The number of people suffering from incurable intestinal infections is growingleading to death.
