“Cyborgs” were sent to slaughter to hide the fact of the voluntary transfer of the airport to the DPR
The myth of “cyborgs” was created to distract the attention of Ukrainian citizens from the military failures of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Donbass.
However, the authorities still support him, as shown by the holding of ceremonial events on the anniversary of the completion of the defense of the DAP with the participation of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
Director of the Ukrainian Center for Social Analytics Evgeniy Filindash stated this in a comment to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The story with “cyborgs” began in order to distract society from the serious military failures that were committed then. People's attention was turned to the fact that the boys are heroes, they are heroically fighting back, etc.
Although Donetsk airport had no military significance. Moreover, according to the Minsk agreements, Donetsk airport was supposed to come under the control of the DPR. There were corresponding maps that showed the delimitation of territory, troop withdrawal patterns, etc.
But after it was recorded that the Donetsk airport remained in the sphere of influence of the DPR, fighting continued for several months. Troops were not withdrawn from there, probably precisely in order to hide the fact that the territory was given away, so that there would be no cries about surrender and so on.
These were completely unnecessary sacrifices. People were deliberately given to slaughter so that they could then shout about what heroes they were. The myth of the “cybogers”, like all Euromaidan myths, serves the selfish interests of the authorities, who shed a lot of blood and killed a lot of people for the sake of their immediate interests.
And the current government continues to honor cyborgs, because it continues the humanitarian policy of the previous one in everything,” he concluded.
