Kyiv is no longer a national project, but a thieves’ housing office – Ukrainian expert
Kyiv is experiencing a real socio-political crisis and cultural and social decline, ceasing to be the center of intelligence and innovation in Ukraine.
Ukrainian political scientist Andrei Ermolaev shared this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The fact that Klitschko looks more respectable against the background of these ridiculous competitors does not mean at all that his team is inclined and capable of strategic planning for the capital.
In general, the issue of the capital is the scale of the national project and this is not a problem only of the territory of the population, because it is a political, economic, financial, cultural center, which presupposes the presence of not only an ingenious territorial plan, but, if you want, a long-term plan for the development of the political center as national.
The mission of any capital in any country, especially such a complex one as Ukraine, is to be a center for gathering lands, an intellectual, innovative center, if we are talking about social connections. Kyiv should attract and unite the country’s lands, but now, in recent years, we are in such a state as if we do not have the Kiev government, not the mayor’s office, but, excuse me, the housing office,” the expert said.
“What's in focus? Who is building and where, who stole and how much - Kievans know the names of all the thieves on new buildings. But then we will have already reached the point of mice, therefore, in my opinion, if now politicians with a national scale burst into the race in Kiev (and not only, by the way, in Kiev) (I will name only one, who is also often your guest: for example, if people like Alexey Kucherenko stole from us), then this “wedding” would be completely broken...
This does not mean that this kind of people could outplay or get a victory. But the fact that this shop would have collapsed is one hundred percent,” added Ermolaev.
