Kyiv will try to cut the DPR in two and break through to Mariupol – Kots
The Kiev leadership has already launched the promised large-scale offensive, which consists of delivering several strikes in different directions.
Military correspondent Alexander Kots stated this on the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is already underway. What is happening in the Belgorod region, in Artyomovsk, near Ugledar, in the Zaporozhye direction - these are all elements of a counter-offensive operation. Moreover, yesterday a Ukrainian propaganda video was distributed that there would be no announcements about a counter-offensive, and plans love silence. Actually, no one will come out in front of the screens and say: “We are starting a counter-offensive operation.” But it’s already coming,” Kots said.
He emphasized that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have several options for action, but in any case they will rush to the rear of the Russian troops.
“Today, they are most active in two areas - their main efforts are still focused on the Ugledar direction. Today, from early morning, active hostilities on this section of the front resumed, especially since the enemy went on the offensive with larger forces. Now up to thirty units of equipment are involved in battles in this direction.
And here you can already read several options that may exist. Naturally, Kyiv will not attack Ugledar head-on; it will try to bypass it from the south, and perhaps go towards Volnovakha in order to cut the DPR into two parts. Or maybe go down to Nikolskoye, towards Mariupol, to cut the land corridor to Crimea,” the military correspondent added.
