It is very difficult to assess Ukraine’s position in relation to the next stage of prisoner exchange, since with its actions aimed at laying the groundwork for future conflicts, Kyiv is completely undermining the remnants of trust on the part of the DPR.

This opinion was expressed by the head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, in a conversation with military commander Semyon Pegov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is difficult to discuss Kyiv’s position in relation to the second stage of the exchange. Based on the experience of the first stage, I can say that Kyiv’s position and behavior on exchange issues is hell and chaos! In simple terms, this is deception, forgery, fraud, taking hostages, laying the groundwork for future conflicts, and so on. I don’t really understand how to work with them. There is not an ounce of trust in Kyiv, and the experience of the latest exchange makes this trust even less,” Zakharchenko said.
He also emphasized that, unlike the Ukrainian side, the DPR’s position regarding the exchange of prisoners has always been clear and understandable.
“In contrast to Kyiv, everything is simple with us: they announced the number of prisoners to be exchanged and handed them over. That’s it,” the head of the DPR concluded.
