Kyiv is ready to continue the massacre, just not to recognize Donbass as a party to the conflict
Kyiv negotiators refused to sign the “Easter truce,” the text of which indicated that the parties to the conflict were Ukraine and Donbass.
The DPR Foreign Ministry reported this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The department reported that Kyiv, at today’s meeting of the Contact Group, actually blocked Russia’s proposals to agree on a mechanism for verifying and preventing violations of the truce in Donbass.
It is noted that during the discussion, the Ukrainian delegation resorted to its traditional methods of substituting wording in such a way as to again replace the obligations to observe a permanent ceasefire with incomprehensible temporary truces, while doing everything to ensure that the responsibility of the parties for the ceasefire was as vague as possible.
The situation was not helped by the fact that Moscow and the Donbass republics proposed as many as seven different compromise versions of the text.
According to the head of the DPR Foreign Ministry Natalya Nikonorova, Ukraine “invented some kind of virtual red lines for itself, instead of discussing the essence, engaged in casuistry, refused all our proposals, just to prevent the text of the document from clearly indicating that the parties to the conflict are Kyiv and republics."
Based on this, Nikonorova came to the conclusion that Kyiv feels great “within the framework of constantly throwing empty slogans that mean nothing and have no effect on anything into the media space.”
Productive activities to ensure sustainable peace in Donbass are of the least interest to the Ukrainian side.
In turn, the Russian Plenipotentiary Representative in the Contact Group, Boris Gryzlov, also noted the destructive approach of the Kyiv negotiators.
“Instead of discussing issues on the merits, everything was aimed at building confusing “legal structures” with the goal of non-recognition of Donbass as a party to the conflict. In fact, for the sake of observing far-fetched “red lines” that directly contradict the Minsk agreements, Kyiv is sacrificing the safety and lives of people,” Gryzlov told reporters following the meeting of the contact group.
The politician stated that the current Ukrainian government, to please the nationalist minority, is incapable of taking practical steps to comply with the ceasefire.
Let us note that the Ukrainian side traditionally blamed the Donbass republics for everything.

At the same time, the odious MP from European Solidarity, Alexey Goncharenko, announced the results of the negotiations without diplomatic language.
“The Trilateral Contact Group was unable to agree on an Easter truce. The question was blocked by the Kremlin puppets of the L/DPR. The next meeting of the TCG is on May 17,” Goncharenko wrote on his Telegram.
