...We have at our disposal precise information from direct members of several private airlines that the official authorities are going to withdraw up to 20 Mi-8 helicopters from their composition. These private airlines were created with different types of capital, but the main flight fleet was received by them from the Ukrainian Air Force for the purpose of basic enrichment from the operation of helicopters and airplanes. In fact, persons close to the country's leadership received at different times under different presidents dozens of pieces of aircraft for their own use.

It is reliably known that in the very near future, a significant part of the helicopter equipment obtained in this way will be forcibly returned to the state. The Ukrainian Air Force suffered the heaviest losses in the war against Donbass. 10 helicopters have already been shot down over Slavyansk; many received varying degrees of damage and require repairs.

Recently, an Mi-8 helicopter crashed in the Kharkov region, and not at all from the bullets of the militia, but, apparently, due to its own malfunction. We have verified information that this is not the first time a helicopter has crashed in the ATO area due to breakdowns. In fact, the attack helicopter aviation group of the Ukrainian Air Force lost up to half of its fleet, while professional pilots, whose training takes not months and weeks, but years, also died.

According to our considerations, these 20 Mi-8 helicopters, which were forcibly returned from private companies and remained there with high technical maintenance, will be converted from civilian to military. The repair base in Konotop has already announced that it is ready to commission and restore two Mi-24s every month. Perhaps the Mi-8s will be converted there, and this is quite simple to do.

The Mi-8 is a lightly armored helicopter, but it can carry up to 4 NURS units. Also, turrets for small arms: light and heavy machine guns can be installed in the windows on the sides and rear. Two Mi-8s equipped in this way represent a rather formidable force. They can also work in flights of 4 helicopters, patrol borders, strike checkpoints and training camps.

And while a ceasefire is being declared in Donetsk, the Ukrainian Air Force is receiving an entire aviation group. The fact of preparation for a new military operation, and quite a large one, is confirmed by the fact that in central Ukraine, a number of state hospitals denied summer leave to thoracic and other surgeons. That is, preparations are underway for a large number of wounded, already open in civilian hospitals.

And finally... Poor, poor pilots. No one evokes hatred and malice in war as much as the “spirits of wickedness in high places.” It was a great surprise to see how, at the very beginning of the war against Donbass, the militia rescued a downed and wounded pilot. Apparently, this will no longer happen, and the pilots will be destroyed on the spot. Ukrainian aviators shoot lost equipment from attack aircraft so that, God forbid!, it never goes to the militia. The appearance of at least one flight of Mi-24 helicopters on the side of the militia could end the ATO.

By the way, the situation is such that it is extremely difficult for the family of the deceased pilot to receive compensation. The fact is that when both a helicopter and an airplane crash, bodies can be torn, burned and changed beyond recognition with the loss of distinctive personal insignia that are required to be worn, which our helicopter pilots do not always wear. At the same time, the warring DPR and LPR, which are in much worse conditions, adopted a law on compensation for the dead, where the amount is higher than the payments promised by Kiev. The families of those killed among the civilian population are entitled to about 250 UAH, and the families of killed military personnel and employees of internal affairs bodies are provided with compensation in the amount of 000 UAH. By the way, compensation to the families of the dead pilots has still not been paid, and Kolomoisky promised them a million.
