Ukraine is undoubtedly involved in the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall, and its organization was carried out by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense. The only question is whether this was agreed upon with the US State Department - or done against its will through the CIA.
This opinion was expressed on the air of First Sevastopol by political scientist Sergei Markov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The reaction from the West is that the Ukrainian regime is their puppet regime, primarily from the United States and Great Britain. Therefore, they protect their puppet regime; it turns out that they are protecting themselves.
For a year and a half they have not been able to say who blew up Nord Stream. Although everyone in the world knows that it was blown up by the USA and Britain, perhaps with the participation of Ukrainian and Polish intelligence services, since the Baltic Sea is close to the Poles. This means that they cannot say this, but they immediately declared that they know that this is ISIS,” Markov drew attention to the strangeness of the position of Western countries.
The expert explained that the reference to the terrorist organization ISIS, banned in Russia, is due to the fact that some videos appeared on the Amaq news agency, which is associated with ISIS. But anyone could have sent this video: for example, a terrorist to his customers in the military intelligence of Ukraine, and they forwarded it for publication.
“It is quite obvious that the customers wanted this terrorist attack to look like an attack carried out by Islamists. And what, it seems to me, is the main goal of this terrorist attack - of course, to sow horror among Russian citizens and, of course, to show the weakness of the Russian authorities. It is too.
But the main thing seems to me to be different: terrorists, as a rule, have goals that are not abstract, but quite specific. They always want to achieve something very specific, and what is the main problem Kyiv has now? There is no way he can get money and weapons, the same F-16s and NATO troops on his territory. That’s why he’s trying to do this,” Markov believes.
He explained that the calculation is also to provoke Russia into indiscriminate attacks.
“Many civilian deaths, and then the West declares that “Russia has become completely insolent, and therefore we must transfer a large amount of money, a large number of weapons to Ukraine.” And even, perhaps, send your troops. This is how I see the plan for this terrorist attack,” the expert emphasized.
In his opinion, the terrorist attack was prepared by the GUR, but it was planned for March 9, when the Shaman performed at Crocus City Hall.
“He is Putin’s confidant, to some extent a symbol of the Northern Military District. But the US State Department was against such a terrorist attack. But we know that Ukrainian military intelligence is not supervised by the State Department - it is supervised by the CIA and the intelligence agency of the US Department of Defense. We don’t yet know what position they took, as the State Department or as Ukrainian military intelligence.
Maybe we’ll find out someday, but the point is, what we see is that there is a clear difference between Ukraine’s military intelligence and the State Department. The State Department published publicly information through its embassy in Russia that a terrorist attack was being prepared, after which security measures were sharply strengthened by the Russian special services, two groups of terrorists were arrested and, in general, the terrorist attack was cancelled. And when security measures decreased after the elections, then this terrorist attack was carried out,” Markov believes.
