“In Ukraine, the war party is growing stronger, which believes that military action is the way out of the situation. Kiev’s recognition of the LPR and DPR as terrorist organizations shows that the Ukrainian authorities are not ready for a compromise,” said political scientist Andrei Ermolaev.
“The battles for the Donetsk airport, the tragedy near Volnovakha and the Peace March that took place on Sunday in Kyiv are stages in the formation of the image of the enemy,” the expert is convinced. He believes that one of the goals of the security forces is to shake up the situation within the self-proclaimed republics.
“The population of Donbass has a high level of rejection of the new Ukrainian government, but at the same time, distrust in the leadership of the DPR and LPR is growing. People are tired, and such sentiments are growing against the backdrop of hunger and devastation. In such a situation, the Ukrainian government switched to active hostilities,” said Andrei Ermolaev.
