Kyiv plans provocations with the involvement of the media on the eve of Minsk
The Ukrainian leadership in the Joint Forces Operation zone, on the eve of the meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk, plans to carry out a military provocation by using artillery units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Official representative of the People's Militia of the DPR Rinat Aigistov stated this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukrainian armed formations are not abandoning attempts to destabilize the situation near the line of combat contact on the eve of the meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk.
Realizing the fact that provocative shelling of our positions does not bring the expected result, the enemy continues to prepare fake materials with the aim of accusing our defenders of violating the ceasefire.
To do this, the criminal Ukrainian leadership plans to carry out another provocation by using artillery units,” Aigistov said.
In addition, the department does not rule out that this activity is related to the work in the “JFO” zone of the delegation of the military attache’s office at the US Embassy in Ukraine during the period from February 10 to 14 of this year.
“We have recorded the presence in the area of responsibility of the 58th and 59th brigades of the VFU of correspondents of film crews of five Ukrainian TV channels: “1+1”, “NewsOne”, “Channel 24”, “UA TV” and “Channel 5”, as well as foreign news agency France-Presse. The work of media representatives is coordinated by officers of the press service of the JFO headquarters and the 74th center of the IPSO Special Forces of Ukraine.
The commanders of the VFU brigades Kashchenko and Shapovalov, in whose areas of responsibility the journalists work, according to the instructions of the commander of the OTG “North” Romigaylo, were instructed to provide all possible assistance in filming video materials,” said a representative of the press service.
“Previously, we have repeatedly noted that the presence of Ukrainian media in the Joint Forces Operation zone has a negative impact on the situation along the line of combat contact and leads to an increase in the number of provocative attacks by the UFU on the territory of our Republic.
We call on international observers to prevent the situation from escalating in the Donbass and to oblige the Ukrainian side to comply with its obligations,” concluded Rinat Aigistov.
