Kyiv cannot decide: the Prykarpattya battalion deserted or carried out the order to retreat from the ATO zone
Kyiv, September 02 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The military prosecutor’s office of the Zaporozhye garrison is investigating criminal proceedings based on the crime of desertion regarding the actions of soldiers of the “Prykarpattya” battalion who left Ilovaisk.

As reported by the Prosecutor General's Office, on August 26, despite combat missions in the ATO zone, more than 300 military personnel refused to perform military service in a combat situation and voluntarily left combat positions near Ilovaisk and voluntarily departed for their place of permanent deployment in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Criminal proceedings were opened on the grounds of crimes provided for in Part 2 of Art. 402 KKU - disobedience, part 2 of Art. 404 – resistance to the boss and part 3 of Art. 409 – avoidance of military service. Investigative actions are being carried out.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier in Kyiv they denied information about the desertion of an entire battalion, explaining its withdrawal by the need to increase combat readiness.
