“From 18:00, the so-called “silence regime” was declared again, during which hostilities and shelling must cease in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone,” the National Security and Defense Council noted.
The department claims that over the past two days, the working group of the Joint Center between representatives of Ukraine, the OSCE and Russia has repeatedly recorded violations of the ceasefire, in particular by pro-Russian rebels.
“For each case of such a violation, the tripartite group draws up an appropriate protocol, which records the place, time, and intensity of the shelling, as well as the party that carried out the shelling,” the NSDC emphasized.
Let us note that the Security Council initially announced the introduction of a silence regime from 18:00. Later, when the information hit the media, the news disappeared from the website of the National Security and Defense Council Information and Analytical Center. Only at 21:46 updated information appeared on the website, according to which the regime will be introduced as early as 18:30.
“Today, October 07, at a meeting of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Ceasefire and Stabilization of the Demarcation Line, an agreement was reached on a bilateral ceasefire from 18:30 this day,” the new version says.
As PolitNavigator reported, on September 5, at negotiations in Minsk, an agreement was reached on a ceasefire in the Donbass, and on September 19, the parties agreed on a general truce. Despite this, warring parties regularly claim violations of agreements.
