This was announced by the First Deputy Chairman of the National Police, Vyacheslav Abroskin, during a joint meeting of representatives of the National Police and carrier companies, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports with reference to the press service of the National Police.
“Since the beginning of hostilities, more than 400 cases of sending items prohibited for free circulation have been documented,” Abroskin noted. The police chief did not specify how many such facts were missed by official statistics.
It is also noted that there are now quite a lot of cases where children are injured by explosions as a result of careless handling.
In order to avoid the distribution of prohibited items (weapons, explosives, etc.) by postal senders, their timely detection and removal from circulation, the National Police offered representatives of Ukrainian carrier companies a number of developments. In particular, carriers will more carefully check the goods that citizens provide for transfer, transportation and movement to Ukraine.
In addition, it is planned to create a joint working group to discuss all important issues in the fight against illicit arms trafficking on the territory of Ukraine.
Let us remind you that, as PolitNavigator already reported, the SBU found a cache of “Bumblebees” in the Donbass.
