Kyiv officially legalized the blockade of Donbass
The Security Council of Ukraine legalized the blockade of Donbass by deciding to ban the movement of goods across the demarcation line. This is stated in a statement by NSDC Secretary Alexander Turchynov.
Let us recall that initially the railway tracks in the LDPR were blocked by “volunteers” - ATO militants. In response, the leadership of the LDPR announced the introduction of external management at the former enterprises of Ukrainian oligarchs and their reorientation to the Russian market. Yesterday, the head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, announced the shipment of the first 95 cars with coal to Russia.

“The National Security and Defense Council decided: temporarily, until the implementation of paragraphs 1-2 of the Set of Measures for the implementation of the Minsk agreements of February 12, 2015, as well as the return of seized enterprises to Ukrainian jurisdiction, to stop the movement of goods across the contact line...
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, with the participation of the Security Service of Ukraine, have been instructed to immediately stop the movement of goods across the contact line by rail and road and create conditions for attracting public control over the implementation of this decision,” Turchynov said following the Security Council meeting.
In addition, he also instructed to think about introducing sanctions against branches of Russian banks in Ukraine: “The National Bank of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine have been instructed to analyze the activities of banking institutions of Ukraine, in the capital of which there is a share of state banks of the Russian Federation, and within XNUMX hours to make appropriate proposals, in particular, about the introduction of sanctions against them.”
Let us remind you that coal from mines in the LDPR is necessary for the operation of power plants in Ukraine. According to experts, Kyiv will not be able to find suppliers who can provide coal supplies at a comparable price and in the required quantity.
