Kyiv fears that Russia will launch an offensive from Crimea on New Year's Eve
Kyiv, December 28 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – One of the reasons for the cessation of transport links with Crimea may be the threat of an attack by Russian troops on the mainland from the peninsula on New Year’s Eve.
This was stated by ex-adviser to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, head of the Center for Defense Reform, Alexander Danilyuk.

“I admit that transport links with Crimea are limited due to the intensive accumulation of armored vehicles and artillery by the Russians in the isthmus area, which has been occurring over the past few days. There is no reason to expect that there will be no further aggression until spring. Even the Christmas holidays will not stop the Russians. The assault on Grozny in the First Chechen took place on the night of December 31 to January 1,” Danilyuk wrote on his page.
By the way, visitors were skeptical about this version of the Ukrainian figure - for example, a veteran of the Russian armed forces indicated that to attack Kyiv it would be more effective to act through the Chernigov and Sumy regions.
“Why from Crimea? There are Chernigov and Sumy regions. Through them it’s a stone’s throw to Kyiv. You, Alexander, won’t even have time to escape: Zhulyany and Boryspil will be busy with landings,” noted Ivan Polozhy.
