Kyiv is empty - SBU colonel
The conflict in Ukraine has left the capital's residential areas empty. There are sellers and goods in the stores, but there is no one to sell them.
Retired SBU colonel and military expert Oleg Starikov stated this in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Alexander Shelest, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Today I went to the store, and the city was empty. This is a residential area - you go out, there were so many people, but here it’s an empty area. I’m walking alone and there’s no one,” the expert said.
“What am I talking about? That there is no population, no people. They are standing there trading, yes, there is food, but there are no buyers. Pensioners like me jumped out and that’s it. Where are the others? But there are no young people, the young people either left or went to the front,” Starikov said.
