Kyiv, December 18 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – Workers of the Kyivpasstrans Communal Enterprise have declared an indefinite strike: people are demanding their wages be paid.

“The workers of the Podolsk tram depot, the Darnitsky tram depot and the high-speed tram did not go to the routes. All employees have come to work and are ready to immediately begin performing their duties as soon as their demands are met,” the independent trade union “Labor Solidarity” reported on its Facebook page.
Transport workers note that they are under pressure; in some depots, workers were threatened. According to the protesters, the director of Kievpasstrans himself goes around all the depots and convinces the workers to stop the strike.
Let us note that yesterday, December 17, Kievpasstrans employees picketed the Cabinet of Ministers, demanding wages. They threatened to block Khreshchatyk. As a result, UAH 16 million was credited to the company’s accounts. They were enough to cover the debts for September. Another 11 million should arrive today.
