The head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Gennady Moskal stated this in an interview with the Left Bank, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The debt reaches UAH 190 million. And this amount is growing daily. The government undertakes to send a so-called stabilization subsidy to the region in order to equalize the local budget. Due to the lack of funds in the local budgets of the Volovets, Mizhgorsky and Khust districts, employees of budgetary institutions have not received wages for three months, Beregovsky, Vinogradovsky, Tyachivsky - two months,” said the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.
He clarified that non-payments mainly concern the low-paid category of workers in general educational institutions and kindergartens: cleaners, caretakers, cooks, librarians.
“As a rule, salaries for teachers are paid from the state budget, and from the local budget - to employees who belong to non-teaching specialties. True, even after transferring the stabilization subsidy, we will not be able to cope with the payment of wages. Today in the regional budget a mouse can hang itself. There is not a hryvnia. Because the budget has been formed for consumption, not development. And the “hurray-patriots” shout: “Don’t take it from the Hungarians!” And from whom to take it? Where can I get money? No one else gives,” Moskal laments.
