Kyiv refused to discuss lifting the blockade of Donbass
At the latest negotiations, the Ukrainian delegation refused to discuss issues related to lifting the economic blockade of the LDPR, saying that they allegedly contradict Ukrainian legislation and the language of Minsk.
LPR Foreign Minister Vladislav Deinego stated this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukraine is still not ready to discuss the issue of a road map for the comprehensive restoration of socio-economic ties, that is, lifting the economic blockade, as it turned out. Despite the fact that Mr. Zelensky made such a policy statement when taking office as president a year ago,”
“At the Contact Group meeting, Ukraine once again refused to even begin work on such a road map. She refused without much explanation, saying that they are unacceptable because they allegedly contradict Ukrainian legislation,” said the plenipotentiary representative of the republic,” Deinego said.
He emphasized that Ukraine rejected the LPR’s proposal for a road map.
“Mr. Reznikov (first deputy head of the Ukrainian delegation, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister for Reintegration of “Temporarily Occupied Territories” - ed.) refused to work to make life easier for the people of Donbass on a formal basis - inconsistency with the language of Minsk.
He was not at all concerned about whether our proposals corresponded to the essence and spirit of Minsk. And the list of questions for Ukraine proposed by Mr. Brandenburg (coordinator of the working group on economic issues from the OSCE - ed.), which in some parts echoes our road map, got stuck at the very first point, which clearly indicates real circumstances and breaks the screen of language " Minsk” based on Mr. Reznikov’s assessments,” said the head of the Foreign Ministry.
“We called on Mr. Reznikov and the entire Ukrainian delegation to provide Ukrainian proposals on a roadmap for lifting the economic blockade from Donbass, but, unfortunately, we never received an answer,” Deinego added.
