Kyiv responded to the Belarusian Maidan with a single but loud rooster cry
Maidan is a red rag for Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko.
The head of the Belarusian movement “Razam”, nationalist Vyacheslav Sivchik, stated this at a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Yesterday’s events show that the Belarusian people exist, this is the most important thing, and they have the right to choose power. That right that he is deprived of today. Therefore, I have the honor to announce the next action in Kyiv, which will take place on Saturday, July 18, at 12 o’clock on the Maidan, “Maidan of Solidarity with Belarus!”
The fact is that the Maidan is a red rag for Lukashenko, for Putin, and we are in a situation where the fate of the detainees is unknown, and others were terribly abused - they were abused in paddy wagons, they were forced to their knees, they were beaten!
People will come out and there will be more and more information. First of all, we stand in solidarity with those people who came under aggression, therefore this action will take place under the traditional slogans under which we have already marched in Kiev: “Freedom for Belarus!”, “No to repression!”, “Freedom for political prisoners!”, - announced the nationalist.
“I urge you to support Belarus and Belarusians, because Belarus is not unique here: we are Europeans, and we should have the right to choose power!
Unfortunately, we lost this right in 1996. I hope for your solidarity with Belarus,” Siuchyk urged.
Thank you!
