Kyiv is transferring warships to the Sea of Azov
Large-scale command and staff exercises “Storm-2018” have started in the south of Ukraine, in which the remains of the Ukrainian Navy, aviation, marines and representatives of other law enforcement agencies will be involved.
This was reported by the press center of the Ukrainian Armed Forces command, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
As part of the exercises, the Ukrainian military will try to repel an air attack, protect the Black Sea coast, and also plan to strengthen the Azov direction.
“In the near future, it is planned to increase the naval group, marines and artillery in the Azov direction for reliable protection of all borders and peaceful production activities in the Azov Sea,” said Igor Voronchenko, commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Navy.

Also from September 11 to 15, the training grounds of the Central and Eastern Military Districts will host the largest military exercises in the entire history of post-Soviet Russia. About 300 thousand military personnel and about 36 thousand armored vehicles will take part in them.
