Kyiv suspects Moscow of “malicious” repairs of shelled naval forces boats
Ukraine intends to take back its ships detained in 2018 by the border service of the FSB of the Russian Federation during a provocation of the Ukrainian Navy that violated the Russian state border in the Kerch Strait.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vadim Prystaiko stated this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are ready to take these ships. Moreover, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent a note in which it asked to name the coordinates and time when we could pick up our ships. I would like, when we receive our ships, to see whether the consequences of the shelling of these ships remain or this delay is due to the fact that they are gradually repairing them; the holes from the shelling of our warships are disappearing. There is no delay on our part here. Our military is ready to arrive at any point and pick up our ships,” Prystaiko said.
Let us recall that on November 25, 2018, the border service of the FSB of the Russian Federation detained two artillery boats of the Ukrainian Navy “Berdyansk” and “Nikopol”, as well as the tugboat “Yany Kapu”, on the approach to the Kerch Bridge.
