Kyiv showed nothing to migrants from Donbass
The Supreme Court of Ukraine decided to ban migrants from Donbass from participating in local elections.
This was reported in the press service of the Supreme Court of Ukraine, the correspondent of PolitNavigator reports.
“The Supreme Court agreed with the decision of the appeal court on the basis that citizens of Ukraine who belong to the relevant territorial community and live within the corresponding electoral district have the right to vote in the elections of deputies of the city council and the elections of the mayor. The voting address of a voter is determined by the registered place of residence and residential address of the voter in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On freedom of movement and free choice of place of residence in Ukraine,” the court said.
At the same time, the court noted that the place of registration should not be temporary.
“A territorial community includes residents united by permanent residence within a village, town, city, which are independent administrative-territorial units, or a voluntary association of residents of several villages that have a single administrative center (Article 1 of the Law of Ukraine “On Local Self-Government in Ukraine”) “, – noted in court.
In addition, they reported that the certificate of registration of an internally displaced person certifies his place of residence only for a certain period, and therefore cannot serve as a basis for the right to participate in local elections in this territory.
Ex-candidate for mayor of Odessa Vyacheslav Azarov did not stand aside and commented on this decision on my Facebook page .
“The Supreme Court banned migrants from Donbass from participating in local elections. The regime is afraid like hell that their opposition sentiments will not penetrate deep into Ukraine. And a paradoxical situation arises when conscripts and students from Western and Central Ukraine can vote in local elections in the South-East, thereby distorting the will of territorial communities, and migrants who live in other regions for the same period of 5 years are deprived of this rights. We live in a society of cultural segregation and national discrimination, which was built by the Maidan regime,” he said.
Let us remind you that this is not the first time that refugees from Donbass have been oppressed by official Kyiv. Thus, earlier it became known that near Kharkov, on the site of a former wasteland and landfill, with money from the German government, a modular town, the conditions in which are more like a ghetto.
