Kyiv received a “thick hint” and a “bold signal”
Moscow is pushing the Ukrainian authorities to implement the agreements signed in Minsk on resolving the conflict in Donbass.
This opinion was expressed in a commentary to Moskovsky Komsomolets by the head of the Kyiv Institute of Global Strategies Vadim Karasev, giving an assessment decree of the President of the Russian Federation on the extradition Russian passports for residents of the LDPR.
“This was done in order to push the new Ukrainian government to implement the Minsk agreements. Otherwise, there may not be citizens with Ukrainian passports there. Therefore, this is one of these thick hints and bold signals that Russia can recognize the independence of these republics. And the new president needs to be more clear about the Minsk agreements, and not give comments in the style that this format needs to be expanded and changed. What response will follow is now the task of President Zelensky’s new team.”
