Ukraine has completely missed the chance to implement a multi-vector course focused on partnerships with its neighbors, writes Alexander Vedrussov, head of the StrategPRO analytical center, in Izvestia.

The author notes that Ukraine is increasingly in conflict with its neighbors, but instead of reconsidering its policy, Kiev prefers to further escalate.

“In recent years, Ukraine has completely missed a unique chance to implement a multi-vector course focused on partnership and good neighborly relations with border countries. With their short-sighted and destructive policies, the Ukrainian authorities managed to turn the simple principle of “no problems with neighbors” into its complete opposite - “no neighbors with whom there are no problems.” Now Ukraine can only reap the fruits of such a suicidal approach, which, despite the catastrophic consequences, in Kyiv, it seems, no one intends to change,” Vedrussov concludes.
