At the same time, according to the head of the SBU Valentin Nalyvaichenko, the Ukrainian side will not use aviation against the convoy.
“Ukraine will inform the Red Cross about this provocation in every possible way, so that now the whole of Ukraine is not drawn into the provocation, so that we use force against the so-called aid vehicles. We will then decide on the reaction,” he said.
Nalyvaichenko admitted that there were no weapons in those cars that Ukrainian border guards managed to check. “But we clearly define the risks: military tractors, transportation of artillery and weapons, and, worst of all, hiding traces of crimes, as was the case with the Malaysian airliner. That is, people in prisons, in private concentration camps created by terrorists, especially in Donetsk, they are going to cynically hide both the bodies and the wounded,” the head of the SBU believes.
As Navigator reported, in Kyiv the crossing of the Ukrainian border by a Russian convoy is regarded as a direct invasion of Ukraine. According to the National Security and Defense Council, on Friday at 11:10 am, thirty-four trucks left through the Izvarino checkpoint, after which they began moving towards Luhansk. Another 90 white KAMAZ trucks are on the way.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced that Ukraine was delaying all procedures related to the humanitarian convoy. “We cannot continue to tolerate such lawlessness, outright lies and inability to negotiate. All excuses for delaying the delivery of aid to people in the area of humanitarian disaster have been exhausted. The Russian side decided to act. Our convoy with humanitarian cargo begins to move in the direction of Lugansk,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement. The Russian Foreign Ministry recalled that “all necessary guarantees for the safety of the passage of the humanitarian convoy have been given” and warned against provocations.
