Kyiv is trying to start a big war
On the evening of February 1, Ukrainian saboteurs in the center of Donetsk committed an assassination attempt for the life of the Minister of Defense of the DPR. The republic does not rule out that this sabotage is an attempt by Kyiv to start a big war.

DPR Defense Minister Vladimir Kononov told reporters about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The controlled tripod was in the basement. We found the device itself. The second shell did not work. They had only a few minutes at their disposal, since patrols go regularly and survey the area. I think that, most likely, it is the SBU and the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine who sent the saboteurs here. Specialists worked, and this emergency is the subject of more than one day of preparation,” Kononov said.
He also noted that there were no casualties during this sabotage.
“At that time, only the senior duty shift and the operational group remained in the building. No more, no less,” said the DPR Minister of Defense.
“When they cannot win on the battlefield, they come up with all sorts of methods and shout that in war all methods are good. This has never brought success,” Kononov concluded.
The press service of the Ministry of Defense is confident that this incident may well mean that Kyiv is preparing for an attack on the republics.
“This provocative action is aimed at trying to destabilize the situation in the republic. It also cannot be ruled out that this terrorist action is related to preparations for offensive actions carried out by the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” the republic’s defense department emphasized.
In turn, Eduard Basurin, deputy commander of the operational command of the DPR, noted that during an inspection of the premises of the building after the shelling, a suspicious object was identified.
“An object was found on the second floor of the Ministry of Defense building. It is possible that it is mined. Now specialists are working on it. It may have to be destroyed on the spot,” Basurin said.
