This was stated in an interview with Moskovsky Komsomolets by the plenipotentiary representative of the Lugansk Republic in the Minsk Contact Group: Vladislav Deinego, according to whom, Ukraine now has no arguments for further delaying the Minsk process.
“However, the Ukrainian authorities are in no hurry to implement the agreements,” notes the LPR representative. “And the only option to win back the situation is to force us to return our weapons to positions through shelling.” We are refraining from this for now, although the mortars have not been withdrawn from the Ukrainian side. And on Saturday there was a strike from Grads, which according to the agreements should not have been there for a long time. There are systemic provocations.”
The publication’s interlocutor also commented on the words of the head of the DPR, who said that Kyiv wants to provoke volunteer battalions into a new conflict with the republics in order to “grind” the remaining radicals in the fighting.
“The Ukrainian authorities have been doing this, in fact, since February last year,” Deinego pointed out. “She purposefully sends radical nationalists to the ATO zone, to different “cauldrons,” so that they do not interfere with the division of power in Kyiv. There is nothing new in these actions.”
