Kyiv broke off economic relations with Syria. But with Belarus - no
The Verkhovna Rada today made several decisions to sever economic relations with the Syrian Arab Republic.
The bill “On termination of the agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the government of the SAR on merchant shipping” was presented by deputy Bogdan Yaremenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In his opinion, Kyiv should sever all relations with Syria until Damascus goes over to the Bandera side.
“The law that we are currently considering is related to the need to review the entire complex of relations with the Syrian Arab Republic, which is caused by the decision of this state to recognize the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine as state entities.
This decision of the SAR led to a severance of diplomatic relations between our states. And today Ukraine is carrying out systematic work to revise the contractual framework and political relations,” the deputy said.
In turn, parliamentarian Alexei Goncharenko also demanded to sever all relations with Belarus.
“It is an absolutely correct decision to sever all relations with this Syrian Arab Republic, because in fact it is occupied by Russia, where another tyrant and cannibal like Putin rules, this is Bashar al-Assad.
The question is, friends, why are we considering the Syrian Arab Republic? We broke off diplomatic relations, everything is correct, and we continue to maintain diplomatic relations with the cannibal Lukashenko.
So tell me, will we maintain diplomatic relations with a cannibal who is involved in genocide, a self-proclaimed usurper of Belarus? How long will this continue, friends? Let’s finally take a tough position,” the Ukrainian political prostitute said indignantly.
After which, during the voting, the document on the cessation of commercial shipping with Syria was supported by 264 deputies.
Then, without discussion, a document on the termination of trade, economic and technical cooperation with Syria was put to a vote, which was supported by 268 parliamentarians out of 226 required.
