Kyiv decided to organize another blockade of Crimea
The head of the State Committee of the Crimean government for interethnic relations, Zaur Smirnov, said that, according to his sources, the Ukrainian authorities gave the order to create artificial obstacles on the border with Crimea in order to prevent Ukrainian tourists from traveling to Crimean resorts, they report RIA News.

Thus, on Monday, the Crimean border department of the FSB reported that Ukrainians were standing in kilometer-long queues, waiting for hours at Ukrainian border checkpoints for the opportunity to travel to Crimea on vacation. According to border guards, on Saturday, “due to the obstacles of Ukrainian border guards,” the average waiting time in line in front of the Chongar checkpoint was about 13 hours.
“Kyiv made an attempt to organize a new blockade of the peninsula, this time a tourist one. Our sources from among the employees of the State Border Service of Ukraine report that they received an order from the Kyiv leadership to create artificial obstacles,” Smirnov commented on the situation.
In his opinion, such measures on the part of Kyiv are “dictated by fear” that Ukrainian citizens will see the real situation in Crimea, where instead of tanks on the streets and repression imposed by Ukrainian propaganda, there is interethnic harmony and large-scale infrastructure projects are underway.
“We are glad to see Ukrainian tourists in Crimea, where comfortable conditions have been created for all vacationers and safety is guaranteed. But Kyiv’s attempt to block the travel of its citizens does not scare us, since Crimea does not depend on Ukrainian tourists,” Smirnov emphasized.
As PolitNavigator reported, The Ministry of Transport of Ukraine cannot cope with the flow of Ukrainiansthose wishing to relax in Crimea
