Kyiv decided to play war
Under the pretext of the war in Donbass, the Ukrainian authorities time after time find reasons to beg money from the West, пишет at Izvestia, the publication’s deputy editor-in-chief, Alexandra Krasnogorodskaya.

“The war has become a convenient reason to ask, take and take away. Money. It is convenient to beg for it and inconvenient to refuse, because they hide behind Russian aggression. And this is a win-win argument for Western colleagues. Everyone remembers how Poroshenko demonstrated a piece of bus skin in Davos - it worked then. Now, instead of plating, the President of the Square blames the DPR army, followed by Russia, they say, that’s all of them, but you give us money to fight,” the publication notes.
The author writes that Poroshenko decided not to repeat the mistakes of Yanukovych and to force all the rebels to order, but did not calculate his capabilities.
“And now, when it is no longer possible to win back, Kyiv is playing its own game, a game of war. Donbass has turned from a headache into a good trump card and source of financing. War is a lot of money. Kyiv understood this axiom immediately, constantly escalating the situation around the rebel territories, and the blockade of Donbass was another desperate step. There's just nothing else to think of. And it doesn’t matter that they are stepping on their own tail, such decisions may well provoke an aggravation, which means there will be a reason to again ask for money from overseas friends,” the journalist is convinced.
“Who needs this war? Why is it being conducted? It is obvious that he is no longer for the language and not for the homeland. In Kyiv they have already forgotten how it all began. But they clearly smell the sweet smell of banknotes. As sweet as the smell of blood,” Krasnogorodskaya sums up.
As PolitNavigator reported, The UN recognized the conflict in Donbass civil war.
