This opinion is expressed on his Facebook page by Kiev journalist, editor of the Capital.ua portal Vyacheslav Chechilo, commenting on the news that in the Ukrainian capital, a contract soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, right at a public transport stop, stabbed to death the chef of the Odessa restaurant Cooper Burgers, Ruslan Yurchenko, who made a remark to a serviceman, who tried to jump into a minibus.
“Such tragedies happen because many compatriots have not yet understood what we have built in 30 years. Would anyone dare to reprimand a member of a black gang in Harlem? Of course not. It would never even occur to anyone. So, this cannot be done in modern Kyiv. In 1988 it was possible. But in 2018, it’s not worth it,” warned Chechilo.
The killer, as friends of the murdered man reported on social networks, turned out to be a contract soldier of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade, which took an active part in the so-called ATO.
