Kyiv demands an endless flow of weapons
Ukraine needs a huge amount of weapons, but its manufacturers were not ready for a war of such intensity.
Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar stated this on the Iceland Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Malyar, it is impossible to purchase on international markets the quantity of weapons that Ukraine needs.
“Our war shows that the world is really not ready for such a scale and such a duration of war. That is, the world today is provided, on the one hand, with extremely high-tech weapons. At the same time, it is designed for use in the short term, when weapons are replaced by the negotiation process, some political instruments and the conflict is resolved,” the official said.
“The world is not ready for the volume of use of weapons that is happening now, in this Russian-Ukrainian war. These are crazy volumes, even what we receive, we need to produce it endlessly.
So that you understand, there is not so much of it in stock stocks, where you can come and buy it ready-made. That is, even for us, some production facilities are now changing their plans in order to produce more for our supplies, and changing their agreements,” said Malyar.
