Kyiv is furious: Video of Siemens turbines delivered to Crimea bypassing sanctions
A photograph from the seaport in Kamyshovaya Bay of Sevastopol has appeared on the Internet - the author suggests that he captured Siemens turbines delivered by sea, which will be used at the power plant under construction to ensure the independence of the Russian peninsula from Ukraine.
Messages about the delivery of turbines appeared on Sevastopol forums on June 29, and yesterday Reuters confirmed that Siemens products were delivered to Crimea despite sanctions imposed by the West and Ukraine.

Earlier, information appeared in the press that Russia, in order to circumvent sanctions, could purchase turbines supposedly for stations in Taman, and then transport them to Crimea. Another option considered was the purchase of the necessary equipment in Iran. Delays in the purchase of turbines were cited as the reason for the delay in the construction schedule of power plants in Crimea.
The news of the delivery of turbines to the peninsula has already caused a sharp reaction in Kyiv.
“The Siemens company, if it does not take appropriate measures to recall fraudulently supplied equipment, has every chance of being banned in Ukraine and will be subject to US sanctions... Before writing, I consulted with our European colleagues. Multi-billion-dollar fines and sanctions are more than real for Siemens,” Verkhovna Rada deputy Borislav Bereza threatened in his blog.
“Politics is an extension of economics. And now it is beneficial for many in Europe and the USA to squeeze this company’s eggs,” added the Ukrainian deputy.
