There is growing evidence that Western countries are cooling towards Ukraine, tired of Kyiv’s reluctance to implement the Minsk agreements and carry out recommended reforms.

The situation is reminiscent of a rift with a rich lover, where Kyiv behaves like a stupid woman. Instead of treating the breadwinner to borscht and donuts and entertaining them with role-playing games, Ukraine throws up scandals, and this is a sure path to separation.

The rebuke to German Ambassador Ernst Reichel was ugly, who “had the impudence” in an interview with RBC-Ukraine to simply quote the Minsk agreements, recalling that this document provides for elections in the Donbass after the withdrawal of troops.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry demanded that the “arrogant” ambassador explain himself for the exact quotation. And the deputy head of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction, Alexey Goncharenko, painted a fragment of the Berlin Wall in front of the German Embassy with red paint.

Again a stupid “female” reaction. In Ukraine they don’t understand that Maidan-style pranks have ceased to touch the West. What was permitted for a revolutionary girl was inappropriate for a “European” lady. The German Foreign Ministry scolded the ambassador to Ukraine, but not for his words about the elections, but for his statement about the presence of Russian troops in Donbass.

The next public scandal was caused by the Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Andrey Reva, who gave a beating to the coordinator of the UN systems in Ukraine, Neil Walker, because he condemned the termination of social payments in the Donbass.

“I have never seen such brazen interference in the internal affairs of Ukraine,” Reva raged.

If we continue the gender metaphor, here we record the absence of elementary maternal responsibility. Rare men will like this.

“This, of course, is a very strange decision, which definitely goes beyond both common sense and any normal understanding of the settlement in Donbass. From such, on the one hand, small steps, the whole overall picture emerges that, apparently, in Ukraine they simply do not want the return of Donbass, the reintegration of the republics, but are doing everything to ensure that the positions move away from each other,” believes political scientist Denis Denisov.

The West reacts with restraint to Ukrainian hysterics. The exception is the Slavic brothers from Poland. The inadequate reaction of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry to the December march of nationalists in Przemysl, where only a sensitive ear could catch the cry of “Death to Ukrainians,” received an unexpected continuation for Kyiv. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland demanded that the ban on entry to Ukraine for the mayor of the city of Przemysl, Robert Chom, be lifted.

It acted like a slap in the face during a tantrum. She's usually very calming. The ban was immediately lifted, and the Ukrainian Ambassador to Poland was forced to make a public apology to Khoma.

However, the Poles did not rest on this. The chairman of Poland's ruling Law and Justice party, Jaroslaw Kaczynski, said that Ukraine “with the cult of Bandera” will not get into the European Union. Now the chairman of the Institute of National Remembrance, Vladimir Vyatrovich, known for his crazy Russophobic initiatives, has rushed to make excuses. He assured the Polish brothers that there is no Bandera personality cult in Ukraine.

A self-respecting man rarely stoops to polemics with a squealing woman. He just turns around and cancels the credit cards. This is what happens in the case of the fleeting romance between Ukraine and the West.

Last week it became known that the IMF does not plan to consider the issue of allocating a fourth loan tranche of one billion dollars to Kyiv in the coming week. The work plan of the fund's board of directors until February 17 does not provide for the provision of money.
