Kyiv is leading to disaster according to the Lviv scenario
Kyiv has stopped its development in recent years - there are no new large infrastructure projects in the Ukrainian capital, the problem of waste disposal has not been solved, as a result of which there is a threat of a repeat of the waste crisis following the example of Lvov.
The former mayor of Kyiv, Alexander Omelchenko, stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Do you like how Kyiv is developing now?” – TV presenter Dmitry Gordon asked the studio guest.
“They say the bitter truth is better than a sweet lie. Not developing! For seven years, not a single metro station. Over the past five or six years, no apartments have been built for low-income people, only ATO disabled people, and even then with difficulty, and this is a very, very fundamental issue!
A waste recycling plant is needed just like that! We don’t need Lviv’s experience, but we are moving towards this with the fifth landfill (solid waste landfill No. 5 in Podgortsy - ed.),” Omelchenko said.
