This opinion was expressed at a press conference in Kyiv by the head of the analytical Center “Third Sector” Andrey Zolotarev, commenting on the decision of the Ivanofrankivsk Court of Appeal, which overturned the verdict of the first instance.
“The further legal prospects for this case in the ECHR are absolutely obvious: Ukraine would have lost this claim miserably,” the expert is sure. – As a result, I think that financial compensation with six zeros would also be awarded. The reputational costs for Ukraine would be very significant. Therefore, a political decision was made to include the rear one.”
