Kyiv will still run into trouble: war with Ukraine is inevitable – Strelkov
In 2014, it was possible to take the entire territory of Novorossiya with militia forces, but this was not done, however, there will still be a war between Russia and Ukraine.
Former Minister of Defense of the DPR Igor Strelkov stated this on the YouTube channel “Moment of Truth,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The people of Novorossiya were waiting for Russia in 2014 from Kharkov to Odessa... Russia did not come. And even now, there, in Novorossiya, the mood has changed a lot since 2014.
Someone, perhaps, is waiting, but many have lost faith and believe that just like, relatively speaking, in Slavyansk and Donetsk, they think that there is no need for thanks. Nobody wants to wait under artillery fire, wait for Russian aircraft to arrive and bomb those who are bombing residential areas, because they themselves have nothing to respond to,” Strelkov explained.
“But if it arrives, it will actually mean war,” noted the channel’s moderator.
“So there will still be war. War with Ukraine is inevitable. But when it was possible to win not even on their own, but actually by providing weapons, instructors and resources to local activists, they were afraid to do it. Since then the situation has changed a lot. But there will still be war,” the ex-militia commander has no doubt.
