Kyiv has taken the path of new “boilers”
The DPR and LPR are calling on Russia, Germany and France to intervene in the peace process, since Ukrainian representatives in Minsk refuse to sign an agreement on the withdrawal of tanks and artillery with a caliber of up to one hundred millimeters, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.

“The situation with the withdrawal of equipment has brought Ukraine to a dead end. We are forced to admit outright sabotage on the part of Ukraine and an attempt to disrupt the signing of the agreement by any means. Every time, when agreement was reached on a document, representatives of Ukraine called Kiev, were refused, new introductions were made and confused the whole process,” the republics’ plenipotentiaries at the negotiations, Denis Pushilin and Vladislav Deinego, described the behavior of their Ukrainian counterparts in a joint statement quoted by RG.
The publication clarifies that this time the stumbling block was “Kyiv’s sudden and absurd desire to stipulate for itself “special conditions” for the withdrawal of artillery: the Ukrainian side demanded to maintain its weapons at four points on the demarcation line for another two months.”
In turn, representatives of the republics insist on the withdrawal of weapons along the entire line, since it is from these areas that the Ukrainian side carries out regular shelling.
“But Ukraine, apparently, wants to continue the war,” Vladisav Deinego explained the position of the republics.
“At the same time, in Kyiv, having not fully implemented virtually a single point of the Package of Measures for the Implementation of the Minsk Agreements, they are already in a hurry to gain control over the Russian-Ukrainian border in the Donbass,” RG points out. – Let us remind you that Kyiv can receive this right, and in agreement with the republics, only after fulfilling all other obligations, including the introduction of provisions on the special status of Donbass into the country’s constitution. But on Tuesday, Petro Poroshenko, at an urgent meeting of the military cabinet, proposed creating a fifth working subgroup on border issues within the Contact Group.”
In response, Denis Pushilin called on the sponsors of the peace process - Moscow, Berlin and Paris - to influence Kyiv.
“Everything indicates that the actions of the Ukrainian side are an attempt to return the situation to war,” the publication quotes Pushilin as saying. – The issue should be raised again to the level of the Normandy format.
