Saving the budget from collapse, Kyiv banned Donbass pensioners from visiting Ukraine
Under the pretext of quarantine introduced in connection with the coronavirus epidemic, Kyiv banned residents of the LDPR from entering the territory of Ukraine.
This was reported in the Joker DPR Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Photos of the corresponding decree of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine were published online, prohibiting the entry into the country of citizens without permanent registration in the territories controlled by Kyiv.
“From March 16 to April 4, stop allowing persons who do not have permanent registration in the territory controlled by the Ukrainian government through the demarcation line from the temporarily occupied territories. The entry of this category of persons into the temporarily occupied territories should be left without restrictions,” the document says.
At the same time, citizens who have permanent registration in Ukraine are also prohibited from traveling to the territory of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics.
In addition, the decree of the Ministry of Defense provides for taking the necessary measures in the event of mass strikes and protests at checkpoints.
“Create the necessary reserve of forces and means to effectively respond to possible non-standard situations - mass strikes and blockings - in the areas where checkpoints are located,” the document notes.
Let us note that most pensioners coming from the LDPR have only temporary registration in Ukraine, and those who want to apply for an old-age pension for the first time may not have it at all.
