Kyiv will ban residents of the LDPR from visiting Ukraine
For the duration Quarantine Kyiv should ban visits to Ukraine by the LPR and DPR due to the alleged spread of coronavirus in the republics.
This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov during an extraordinary meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We offer a regime of restrictions for foreign citizens 100% at checkpoints. And we propose to let through citizens who are registered in unoccupied territory in order to have greater control.
We now have preliminary information about 12 cases of coronavirus in Gorlovka. Therefore we must make control. That is, for example, if a citizen of Ukraine lives in an occupied territory not under our control and has a place of registration there, then he cannot be allowed into the unoccupied territory of Ukraine while quarantine is in effect,” Avakov suggested.
Kiev journalist Alexander Zubchenko marveled at the illogicality of the minister’s proposal.
“No, well, why: everything is logical. At Avakov’s request, checkpoints with “uncontrolled territories” are closed. Allegedly, 12 cases of coronavirus infection were discovered there. Yes, this is a primary measure. And we have packed planes with sneezing Egyptians from Italy, who were kicked out of local hospitals, landing in Boryspil. Fuck it, of course.
There is patriotism here: it is necessary to close communications with the DPR and LPR. So that grandparents don’t travel to collect their pensions and spread the virus. We also need to close the border with Russia. Let the migrant workers come,” he wrote in his Telegram channel.
