“We are planning because electricity prices have risen. It has increased in price several times, and this is the main resource that we use for transportation,” Peklun noted, answering a question about plans to increase fares.
According to him, this is necessary due to the fact that components and consumables are constantly becoming more expensive, wages are being indexed and growing. Therefore, the company cannot afford to operate at a loss.
“There are several methods for calculating tariffs. The main one is the investment component. We are planning the development of the metro there - the construction of new stations, the purchase of rolling stock. If so, then the tariff could theoretically be the same as in Europe. But I think the increase could be within 50%,” predicts Peklun.
