According to the participants of the action, the construction work carried out by the notorious developer Voitsekhovsky in Kyiv on the slope above Kikvidze Street has already destroyed the green zone and created an emergency situation - some houses near the construction site have already begun to collapse. Although the court made a decision to take the plot from the developer, it is not being implemented.
“The land has been transferred to Kyiv for two years now, but the Kiev authorities are protecting the developer,” resident of the microdistrict Maria Lebedeva told a PolitNavigator correspondent. We submitted a draft decision to terminate the lease agreement to Kievrada, but the head of the land commission, Vladimir Prokopov, has been blocking our project for four months. He says that people don’t want a square, that paid activists are protesting. But we are saving our housing, our living conditions.”
Prokopov, people say, promised that today the issue would be taken up for consideration by the land commission, but in the end the deputies did not want to bring the issue to the session.
“We came, but the commission meeting is not taking place, they don’t want to bring the issue to the City Council,” a rally participant was indignant. – We are outraged by the work of the land commission and appeal to the residents of the Goloseevsky district - the same developer Voitsekhovsky is building in your area. And your future deputy Prokopov is protecting all this. Pay attention to this."
