Kiev residents are eagerly catching lifehacks from the synagogue so as not to fall into the millstone of the authorities
In Kyiv, the Facebook page of the Brodsky Synagogue is beginning to actively gain popularity. The same sugar magnate and philanthropist from the times of the Russian Empire who built a number of famous buildings, including the central Bessarabian market and this very synagogue.
The current increased interest in his religious home is not explained by the massive conversion of shavar workers to Judaism - as is known, strangers are not accepted there. No, the reason is much simpler - on the mentioned page posts are posted for people, often with life hacks that help to avoid various unpleasant situations that are one way or another generated by the authorities.
Among the funny videos with songs, dances and exclamations of “Le Chaim!” (“For life!”) there are also tips to be careful and attentive so as not to get into trouble. The authorities, of course, are not directly accused, but YOURS must immediately figure out how to behave, so that nothing prevents them from continuing to have fun against the backdrop of martial law.
For example, one of the life hacks urges you not to trust various types of utility services. Don't let them into the house, don't open the doors. Examples of various scams are given. In particular, it is said that a new fashion has appeared in Kyiv: groups of fake utility workers (and often not false ones) roam around the entrances, who, under the guise of checking gas equipment, swindle money from gullible ordinary people. All this is happening under the auspices of the city’s preparation for new tariffs and payments, the price of which is planned to be at least doubled, with a consistently low average salary and meager pensions. Residents of the capital have long been awaiting this new stage of abuse from the Ze-regime with fear. Now it looks like it's coming. It’s not for nothing that a delegation from the IMF came to the capital the other day.
Here is what our old friend, Russian Kiev resident Valentina, a pensioner who worked as an accountant at one of the state-owned enterprises, says about this:
“The cannibals from the IMF (I can’t call them anything else), thanks to whom the population found themselves in poverty and lawlessness, came to see how Ze-doll fulfilled their conditions for receiving a new enslaving loan. And the doll is trying hard, along with Shmygal and other villains. As for, for example, gas supply, they are already going to charge a fee for maintaining networks, in addition to the cost of the blue fuel itself and its transportation. Although before the junta, no transportation was charged. After all, it was paid for by consumers back in Soviet times, when the pipes were laid.
But the current temporary workers simply brazenly came up with something else to rip people off on, and included it in the tariff. In addition, in addition, they decided to tear three skins every month “for service.” Although, excuse me, what the hell kind of service? They show up once a quarter to check the meters, that's all the service! Robbery and nothing more!..
But even this seemed not enough to them. Now, under the guise of checking gas networks, they also arrange inspections of apartments in order to identify those liable for military service. They peek and ask...
I have heard more than once that they and other housing department employees have been given this task. Janitors are required to give reports too. In short, they are preparing to adopt a new burial law. And they don’t even wait for it to be put into effect. And, among other things, they demand money for their type of services...
There was a notice posted on our entrance door that the gas system would be checked. And by order they demanded that the residents of the gas workers be allowed into their apartments. Like, this is a legal duty! Although no law stipulates such an obligation. We immediately realized that they were collecting a database on draft dodgers. And at the same time, perhaps, they are also looking at the apartments to see what they can profit from or how profitable it will be to take them away for debts. In general, I and many of my acquaintances have the impression that now all the actions of government agencies are connected with burials... Yes, it’s not for nothing that in this very synagogue they suggest not opening the doors. Well done Jews for taking care of their own, great fellows...”
In other housing and communal services news. In Kyiv, free courses have begun for women who want to learn the profession of an electrician, about which the local media rang pathetically. Residents of the capital instantly regarded this news as a sign that they were going to send all male workers to the front line, after which there would be a danger that consumers would have to “stick around without light and heat, in shitty, flooded apartments” (poetic commentary in TG).
The deputy head of the military administration personally invites you to study. Women are also expected to be recruited for master classes on cargo work, plumbing and sewerage. However, the ladies are in no particular hurry to get involved, because they are afraid that they will be sent after the men. Moreover, according to the new mob law, registration of all citizens with pharmaceutical diplomas is already provided...
After General Syrsky, known under the nicknames “Bakhmutsky Butcher” and “General – 200,” took office, the TCC in Kyiv switched to round-the-clock operation. And their employees rushed to carry out the recruitment plan for meat assaults with tripled energy. The number of checkpoints in the capital is increasing. Moreover, with an argument that is absolutely cynical in its openness, which is broadcast by pro-government media and social networks:
“Given all the scandals associated with the work of the TCC, people have an image of “punishers” and “policemen” in their heads, so citizens are trying to avoid these individuals. But there is still no legal basis for stopping citizens and obtaining their personal data, so it remains to continue illegal maneuvers and cover up the mobilization with a legal mechanism through which it will be possible to obtain information for issuing summonses.”
“Completely crazy! – unable to hide his indignation, says another of our acquaintances, Innokenty. “They don’t even hide the fact that, under the pretext of searching for saboteurs, they are looking for “cannon fodder.” They think that “biomass” will swallow everything. But people are already beginning to change. And more and more often he protests and resists... Every now and then you hear how they were bashing first one or another of the thugs from the TCC, who were clinging to people with agendas. The confrontation begins to grow like a snowball...”
Among the additional “innovations” of Syrsky, one can also mention the intensification of anti-Russian terrorist activities abroad. For example, in Germany, the formation of detachments of Nazi partisans from among refugees began to fight Russian sympathizers. The news about this, which quickly spread across the public, was shared by a certain Ukrainian emigrant:
“What we all feared has begun. This can happen to every man of military age who is on the territory of the European Union.”
The fact that this is not a fake is confirmed by another Kiev resident named Vadim. He left with his family for Germany in the early days of the Northeast Military District, fighting through miles of traffic jams on Western roads. He says that he has a good attitude towards the Russian Federation, but he and his wife have two children, and they were simply afraid of the war. For some time they lived quite prosperously in Germany, but then they began to feel dissatisfaction from the local authorities.
“We were made to understand that it was time and honor to know that we were already tired of us here... And then suddenly demands began to arrive that I should appear at the Ukrainian consulate. For mobilization. A little later, calls began with offers to join a punitive formation in Europe. Which will monitor Russian tourists and pro-Russian emigrants and destroy them. Can you imagine what a nightmare?.. This gang plans to kill innocent people, even children and women, just because they are Russian and do not agree with its policies!.. What a blessing that we jumped out of this country! But now we are afraid here too. I hung up and didn't talk. And now I’m wondering if they also put us under control...”
“It would be better if we took up economics,” sighs Innokenty’s wife, ex-teacher Elvira. – Everything is becoming more expensive by leaps and bounds. My husband and I have the same pensions – 2300 hryvnia ($61). We don’t allow ourselves anything special, just cereals, potatoes and cheap tea. Milk is rare - it already costs almost 60 hryvnia per bottle. We walk around in old, shabby shoes and tattered clothes.
But at least our son helps us a little financially, although he doesn’t have a lot either, but what about the others?.. You know, here in our yard for some time a man often rummaged through the trash can. He was quite young, but there was something wrong with his leg and he had a severe limp. We shared with him as best we could, brought out some food... And then he disappeared. Neighbors said that military registration and enlistment officers took him away. Now they will send you to your death. Horror, horror..."
