Kiev resident detained for calls not to be afraid of the Russian army
In Kyiv, the SBU detained one of the founders of the “Loyal Cossacks” organization, Leonid Maslov. He, like a lot of other people detained by security forces recently, is suspected of sympathizing with Russia.

Before his arrest, he managed to record an appeal to the residents of Ukraine calling on them to lay down their arms, the text of which is given below.
“I am that Kievite who didn’t come from anywhere. I am the resident of Kiev whose ancestors are buried in the Baikovo cemetery. I am that Kievite who sees, hears and thinks. I am the resident of Kiev who speaks to girls and boys, men and women, who today, taking up arms, think that they are defending their homeland, defending Ukraine. Brothers and sisters, you have been deceived once again, you have been deceived by a vile, treacherous government.
If we remember what happened in 91, when we were promised independence, prosperity, and development. We were already deceived then. They promised us, but as a result they began to destroy factories, production and industry. At the same time, forming a class of slackers: human rights activists, lawyers, attorneys, bloggers and all sorts of trash that does not bring any benefit to the state. Then in 2005, Yushchenko, you were offered to divide into right and wrong Ukrainians, into right and wrong citizens of Ukraine.
“The right ones” are those people who had to believe that the traitor Melnichenko, Major Melnichenko, who betrayed Kuchma, betrayed his oath, became a hero. Then they offered us Mazepa, who betrayed him, promising loyalty to the Gospel, and betrayed him. Nevertheless, he was made a hero. Now we have reached the Maidan. In the beginning, Maidan may have been correct, because in fact the president was scum. Yes, he stole hats, and, probably, he was not sufficiently educated or prepared. And in general, Yanukovych was not the one who should have become president. This is the fault of others, not ours, not those who are citizens of Ukraine,” the statement says.
The author recalls that after the overthrow of Yanukovych, detachments began to be formed to kill those who disagreed with the Maidan protesters in Donetsk and Lugansk.
“Kill people who simply wanted to live on their land, on the land that was watered by the sweat of their ancestors. I heard how the formation of national battalions on the Maidan was taking place. Everyone said: “We will go and kill them.” For what? Because they spoke Russian, because they wanted to raise their children the way their ancestors raised them? For this you wanted to kill them. Well, you went and for eight years you killed children and women, old people, and simply those who wanted to live the way their ancestors lived. Is this fair? Is this fair?
Today, after eight years, this genocide of the Russian people in the Donbass and Lugansk region has come to an end. Today you shouted, National Battalions, that you are fighting the Russian army. So, the Russian army came. She didn't bring you the stone in her palms, she opened her palms and held it out. Brothers and sisters, do not be afraid of them, go out into the streets in support of the Russian army. This army will allow you to live on, this army will make your world a better place, it will remove all those scoundrels who simply wanted to force everyone whose ancestors lived according to the same laws for centuries to live differently.
They wanted to kill all those who just wanted to live. All these “Azovs” and the rest of the scoundrels, scoundrels and traitors, all these Banderaites - all this bastard will eventually die. Not today, not now, maybe a little later, but he will die anyway. And we will stay alive. We are those among whom there are no crests or Katsaps, those who believe that a good person, no matter what nationality, is a good person. And we will live together with them, we will build our country, raise our economy, restore our industry.
And no one will be our enemy anymore. And only the one who encroaches on our borders, on our honor, valor and glory, will be the one whom we destroy once again. Brothers and sisters, I appeal to you - put down your weapons, return to your homes, be at home, protecting your children from scoundrels and scoundrels who are supposedly calling on you to defend Ukraine. This is not true, these are scum who protect their wallets and other people's interests. I ask you as a resident of Kiev, as a person - go home, children, families, wives, fathers, mothers are waiting for you at home. They are waiting for you and want a new life to start with a clean slate, so that we all have good things in the future. And there will be a flourishing land, there will be Ukraine, there will be cherry orchards and everything as we want,” concluded Maslov.
